Join Our Team as an Environmental Scientist at Clean Harbors located in Norwell, MA. Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist. As North America's leading provider of environmental and hazardous waste management services, we operate 48 facilities including landfills, incineration sites, and wastewater treatment centers, serving over 45,000 customers, including Fortune 500 companies, private entities, and government agencies. Responsibilities:
- Assist the LSP or Senior Scientist in overseeing and documenting response actions such as Immediate Response Actions, Release Abatement Measures, and Phase I and II investigations at hazardous waste sites.
- Prepare scopes of work, including cost estimates and schedules, and provide consulting support for field service offices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and environmental policies.
- 5+ years’ experience in environmental assessment, remediation, or site construction, with direct experience with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan.
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work both in the office and in the field, coordinating with field staff and technicians.
- Strong technical review, interpretation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of remedial technologies, federal and state regulations.
- Proficiency in Windows-based activities, cost estimating, and technical documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and multitasking skills.
