CLdN Ports is looking for an additional Port Operative to join the busy fast-paced environment of Port Operations.
Your role:
- Drive / operate heavy plant and machinery such as Tugmasters, translifters
- Discharge and load vessels
- Mooring and releasing vessels
- Any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal
Your profile:
- It is important that you have a good work ethic
- Experience of driving large vehicles and operating heavy plant and machinery would be advantageous
- It is essential you have a pro-active approach and knowledge of Health and Safety
- You will have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good IT skills are desirable for use of in-house/ on-board Freight Management Systems
- You must be a self-motivated individual
- Ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies
- You must be able to work within a team
- A flexible approach to work is necessary as you will be expected to cover when required
- Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal
- You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe
