We are looking to expand on our current groups of Cargo Operatives to meet the increasing demands within our busy 24/7 ro‑ro terminal. Within this challenging role, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient operation is achieved for handling our customer’s cargo on and off our ships and around the port environment.
Role responsibilities:
- Using port equipment (e.g. terminal tractors, cranes, fork lift trucks) for handling the customer’s cargo on and off our ships and around the port environment. Full training will be provided.
- To follow health and safety procedures as laid out by the port.
- Using our internal Freight Management System for locating cargo around the port.
- To assist in the mooring and unmooring of our ships.
Qualifications:
- An aptitude to driving.
- Able to work a rotational shift pattern including days, nights, and weekends.
- Pro‑active approach to and knowledge of H.
