To ensure the targets of the PDI line are met and where this is not the case, escalated to the Supervisor.

To ensure all overdue work is completed, following communication / direction from Manager or Supervisor.

Ensuring the team is cross trained to guarantee that roles on the PDI line / Stores are effectively covered. Performing safety and quality observations on front line staff and reporting back to the Supervisor or Manager.

To support the Supervisor with daily briefings.

To perform investigations on the status of vehicles, giving timely feedback back to the Management Team.

Report any patterns / anomalies on quality issues and defects for vehicles coming through the PDI line to the Supervisors in PDI and Tech / Body areas.

To understand what damage is, how is it caused, where it is found along the PDI line and how to rectify it.

To ensure HR policies are followed and pass information to Management i.e. lateness, attendance and conduct.

To be competent at communicating verbally and via email / Microsoft Teams to inform employees and Supervisors of issues.

To understand and use the diagnostic equipment, including rectification and escalation of issues on vehicles.

Interpret and locate vehicle paperwork, locate and confirm VIN numbers, understand option content and confirm the correct accessories for different vehicle types and customers.

To ensure all Company processes are followed to a high standard.

To work to the Health & Safety rules within Automotive and work towards a IOSH qualification.

Attend tool box meetings and assist the Supervisor to ensure compliance and understanding, including the gathering of signatures of operative staff.

Communicate with the Customer Service Department on topics of – volume, urgent priorities, paperwork and third party activities in the absence of the supervisor.

To ensure all agency hours and absence recording is documented and passed to the Supervisor.

To work alongside the internal Valet Team.

Have a full clean driving license.

Have a high degree of flexibility with working hours.

Good communication skills with ability to instruct to achieve the standards required.
