CLD Recruitment are working with a highly regarded law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy and successful Residential Conveyancing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid residential conveyancing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional client service and is confident supporting Fee Earners throughout the full lifecycle of a transaction.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive support to Conveyancing Fee Earners across a varied caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
Key responsibilities will include: Supporting Fee Earners with their residential conveyancing caseloads.
Managing communications with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors.
Proactively progressing transactions and providing regular client updates.
Opening new files and completing AML and client due diligence checks.
Requesting searches, title documents, redemption statements and other relevant information.
Reviewing and preparing conveyancing documentation.
Drafting and issuing contract packs.
Preparing replies to enquiries and requisitions.
Assisting with exchanges and completions.
Preparing completion statements and bills.
Maintaining accurate file records and updating the case management system.
Dealing with post-completion administration where required.
Liaising professionally with all parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
About You
The successful candidate will have: Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant within a residential conveyancing team.
Experience supporting freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from instruction through to completion.
A sound understanding of residential conveyancing procedures and transaction workflows.
Knowledge of AML regulations and client verification requirements.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and client care skills.
A proactive approach and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
The ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise effectively.
Desirable Experience
It would be advantageous to have: Experience with Remortgages and Transfers of Equity.
Knowledge of Form Evo.
Experience working in a paperless or paper-light environment.
Familiarity with legal case management systems.
