The Role

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic Agricultural Land & Property Assistant to support our Agricultural Solicitor. Based at our offices in Otley, this office-based position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in rural property, agriculture , and land matters to develop their career within a well-established and growing law firm.

The successful candidate will assist with a varied caseload involving agricultural land, farms, rural estates and other property matters. This will be a transactional support role, with responsibility remaining with the solicitor in charge, who will delegate tasks as required.

Duties will include:

  • Opening and maintaining client files
  • Ordering property searches
  • Preparing and submitting HM Land Registry applications
  • Assisting with agricultural land sales and purchases
  • Supporting work involving farms, estates and agricultural tenancies
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
  • Liaising with clients, landowners, farmers, agents and other professionals
  • Assisting with pre-completion and post-completion work
  • Providing general administrative support to the Agricultural Solicitor

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in property, conveyancing, agriculture, rural estate management or a related area
  • Possess excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Be confident communicating with clients and other professionals
  • Have strong IT skills, including experience of using case management systems
  • Have a genuine interest in agricultural land and rural property work
