My client, an award-winning Law Firm, is looking to recruit a Legal PA to join their Commercial Property Team, based in Huddersfield.
Main Duties:
- Provide support to Fee Earners in the Commercial Property team and the work of the department.
- Handle client telephone calls, enquiries, and requests by taking messages, making appointments, or assisting clients where possible.
- Work closely with a Commercial Property Fee Earner to organise digital and physical files, original documents, and keep track of important key dates on matters.
- Work with fee earners in general conduct of cases, including filing, typing from digital dictation, photocopying as and when required.
- Deal with incoming emails and post and organise the same or reply as appropriate.
- Draft and file SDLT returns online and as directed.
- Support fee earners and other team members as required.
- Undertake any reasonable task as requested.
- Ensure that post-completion duties (i.e. Companies House registrations, SDLT submissions, ordering Indemnity Policies where applicable etc.) are undertaken.
- Undertake exchanges and completions.
- Ensure the confidentiality of the firm's and client's documentation and information.
- Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall have a responsibility towards self-development.
- Provide support to other secretaries as required.
Skills Required:
- Excellent organisation skills, interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
- Good word-processing skills.
- Must have previous experience working in either residential property or commercial property.
- Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising your own workload efficiently.
