- A qualified Band 5 Podiatrist wanting to develop strong skills and progress to a Band 6 Podiatrist / Band 6 depending on clinical experience with a passion for community-based care.

Main duties of the job
As a Development Podiatrist, you will provide high‑quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients with a range of lower‑limb and foot health needs, supporting them to maintain mobility and independence.
You will work collaboratively with Podiatrists and other health and care professionals to deliver safe, coordinated and person‑centred care, seeking guidance from Band 6 and Specialist Podiatrists where appropriate.
This is a structured development opportunity. You will undertake clinical rotations and receive regular supervision and mentoring to develop your clinical knowledge, confidence and decision‑making skills.
Working with your manager, you will identify your learning needs and work towards the agreed competencies required to progress to Band 6 level.

Education/Qualification
- BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991)
- Registration with the Health Professions Council
- Certificate in local anaesthesia
- POM certificate
Experience
- Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
- Experience of working with a wide range of patient and disease / pathology types including the at‑risk and high‑risk foot
- Experience of clinical supervision / mentoring
