My client, a leading Legal 500 firm with multiple offices across the region is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer (Associate Solicitor) to join its busy and supportive Residential Property team based in Preston.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions, new build properties, shared equity matters, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice, maintaining excellent client relationships, and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and profitably in line with agreed targets.

The role also includes drafting and reviewing legal documentation, advising clients on legal risk and strategy, supporting senior colleagues on more complex transactions, and contributing to business development initiatives and the mentoring of junior team members.

About You

Applicants should be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with Conveyancing Practice Rights and ideally have a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in Residential Conveyancing.

You will have a strong understanding of Land Registry procedures and SDLT, a proven ability to manage your own caseload and meet fee targets, and be confident using case management systems and legal IT software.

You will also possess excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills, with a proactive, client-focused approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional levels of client care.

Previous involvement in business development activities would be advantageous but is not essential.
