Overview
I am currently working with a high quality and locally respected, Lexcel accredited firm based in the North East who are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their successful team. This role has become available due to increasing demand for business for the firm as they continue to grow. They are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join their busy Conveyancing department, who has experience in and can undertake residential property work and specifically Buy to Let property purchases and Auction work. The successful candidate will be a motivated, hardworking individual who has a real ambition to succeed, and who has a willingness to develop and expand their existing business in this area. There may be opportunity to also gain knowledge and experience of commercial property work in the future.
Responsibilities
- Client service: Undertaking legal work for the benefit of the clients of the firm.
- Team working: Working loyally and effectively as a member of the firm.
- Supervision: Supervising the work of Legal Assistants, and others as may from time to time be required.
- Compliance and training: Ensuring ongoing competency training including completing compliance training.
- Financial contribution: Meeting fee earning targets both monthly and annually; appropriate management of debtors, including obtaining funds on account of costs and disbursements in accordance with departmental policy from time to time.
- Business development: Participating in business development activities including supporting existing fee earners; building, maintaining and nurturing a network of contacts, referrers and business partners to win new work; fostering relationships with existing and past clients to ensure repeat instructions; working with the Marketing team to develop and implement business development strategies; attending networking events on behalf of the firm; and other ad hoc business development activity as required.
