Manchester Full-Time No working from home possible
Clayton Legal

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Property Litigation Solicitor to join a highly regarded and successful Property Litigation team, working on a varied and high-quality caseload alongside experienced Partners and leading clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the chance to work on complex and interesting disputes, develop your technical expertise, build strong client relationships, and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

The team acts for a diverse range of clients, including high-profile household names, businesses, developers, managing agents, investors, and private clients. This role offers genuine responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to manage your own caseload while supporting Partners on larger, high-value disputes.

The position would suit a Property Litigation Solicitor with around 3-6 years' PQE, although candidates with a broader commercial litigation background who are keen to specialise in property disputes will also be considered.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of property litigation matters and providing commercially focused legal advice and representation to clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of property-related disputes, including landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals, boundary disputes, property damage claims, and related commercial litigation.
  • Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex and high-value disputes.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and providing clear, strategic advice.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, tribunals, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Carrying out legal research and keeping up to date with developments in property law.
  • Preparing articles, blogs, and training materials to support knowledge sharing and business development.
  • Taking responsibility for file management, compliance, and financial performance.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and ambitious solicitor who enjoys working on challenging disputes and delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

You will ideally have:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor with approximately 3-6 years' PQE (although outstanding candidates outside this range will be considered).
  • Experience handling a broad range of property litigation matters within a strong legal practice.
  • A good understanding of property law and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload independently while working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
  • A proactive approach with an interest in developing your own profile and supporting business development initiatives.

Why This Role?

You will join a team that values expertise, collaboration, and ambition. This is a role where you can make a real impact, develop your career, and work alongside talented lawyers on some of the most interesting property disputes in the market.

If you are looking for a role that combines high-quality work, client exposure, and genuine career progression, this could be the opportunity for you.
