Hybrid | £32,000 - £55,000 QED's client is looking to add an experienced Family Solicitor / Family Fee Earner to its team, handling a broad privately funded caseload and working closely with clients through what are often some of the most important and sensitive issues they will face. This is a role for someone who enjoys the client-facing side of Family Law, wants genuine ownership of their matters and takes pride in providing clear, practical advice rather than simply processing files. The caseload will cover a broad range of private family matters, including: Divorce and separation Financial and ancillary relief matters Cohabitation disputes and agreements Private children matters Wider privately funded family work You'll manage matters from initial instruction through to resolution, keeping clients informed throughout, providing clear advice on costs and strategy and ensuring cases are progressed efficiently. You'll have responsibility for your own caseload and client relationships, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working with a degree of autonomy and who understands the importance of both technical quality and excellent client care. The role also offers the opportunity to become involved in the wider development of the team. You'll be expected to build positive relationships with professional contacts and referrers, contribute to business development activity and play your part in developing the firm's private client base. You'll also have responsibility for supporting a legal assistant, with the wider team providing a collaborative environment and access to support across accounts, credit control and administration. We're looking for someone with: Experience handling a caseload of privately funded Family Law matters. Strong knowledge across divorce, financial matters and private children work. Excellent client-facing and communication skills. The ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise effectively. A commercially aware approach to costs, billing and progressing matters.
