I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Top 200 law firm with a rich history and reputation for excellence across Lincolnshire and the Midlands. This forward-thinking firm is now seeking a junior to mid-level Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their respected Family Department at their Stamford office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career (1–3 years PQE) to grow and develop in a nurturing, high-performing team. You’ll work closely with senior fee earners and partners while managing a varied caseload covering:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial proceedings following relationship breakdown
- Private law children matters
- Pre- and post-marital agreements
- Cohabitation and separation agreements
You’ll also play a part in business development and client relationship building, with support from a proactive marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality legal advice and service to clients
- Develop and manage your own caseload under supervision
- Assist senior solicitors and partners on more complex matters
- Contribute to marketing and business development efforts
- Stay up to date with changes in family law and related practice areas
- Ensure accurate and timely billing, file management, and time recording
- Maintain compliance with internal quality, risk and regulatory standards

Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (1–3 years PQE)
- Some experience in core family law areas
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise a developing caseload
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally within the family law field
Desirable:
- Experience of managing client matters independently
- Familiarity with legal aid or publicly funded work (not essential)
- Comfortable preparing legal documents independently
- Marketing and networking experience
- Strong IT skills and experience with case management systems
