As Manufacturing Site Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the Swindon site’s output and efficiency. You’ll lead a talented team producing high‑quality insulated glass units (IGUs), conservatory roofing systems, and bespoke glazing solutions. Your mission: turn strategic objectives into actionable plans, manage budgets effectively, and ensure excellence in safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Leadership & Culture: Inspire and guide cross‑functional teams to deliver operational success. Build a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance culture. Coach and develop team leaders and supervisors.
- Operational Management: Oversee production schedules, inventory, and workflow to meet demand. Manage supplier relationships and procurement of raw materials. Ensure effective use of ERP systems and planning tools.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards and company policies. Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe workplace. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Quality & Customer Focus: Partner with quality teams to maintain and enhance product standards. Resolve quality issues promptly and support new product launches.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting: Align site operations with business objectives. Monitor KPIs and report on performance metrics. Drive sustainability initiatives and reduce waste.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations or production management within manufacturing.
- A‑levels or equivalent; degree in business, operations, engineering preferred.
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification.
- Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and planning.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and HSE legislation.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Background in glass manufacturing or related sectors.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., GlassTrack), Excel, and Power BI.
