Senior Operative – Manufacturing (Swindon)
Location: Clayton Glass, Blackworth Industrial Estate, Highworth, SN6 7NA
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, rotating shifts
Week 1: 06:00–14:00
Week 2: 14:00–22:00
Pay: £14.00/hr, paid weekly (£525/week)

At Clayton Glass, we manufacture high-performance insulated glass units (IGUs), conservatory roofs, and specialist glazing products used in homes, commercial buildings, and social housing projects across the UK.
Overview
As a Senior Operative, you’ll be at the heart of production — crafting precision-engineered glass that delivers on energy efficiency, durability, and visual impact. You’ll operate key machinery, maintain top-tier quality, and support new team members in a fast-paced, friendly environment where your ideas and input are valued.
Responsibilities
- Operate key machinery to produce high-performance IGUs, conservatory roofs, and specialist glazing products.
- Maintain top-tier quality and adherence to production standards.
- Support new team members with training and guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Ideally, at least 2 years of manufacturing experience — especially in glass or construction materials — and confidence in handling materials, reading technical instructions, and driving continuous improvement.
- If you have solid production experience and a proactive attitude, we’ll train you quickly to align with our processes and standards.
- Desirable: FLT Licence, Driving Licence, First Aid Certification, IT literacy
