Our client is a leading financial services firm who are seeking a Data Protection Analyst to support the GDPR Manager to strengthen and uphold data protection standards across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable professional who is passionate about safeguarding personal data and supporting a culture of compliance in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Role & Responsibilities: ๐
- Assist with the delivery of the organisationโs data protection strategy and compliance roadmap.
- Support the management of Data Subject Rights Requests, ensuring an accurate and timely workflow.
- Help investigate data protection incidents, carrying out initial assessments, gathering evidence, and contributing to root cause analysis.
- Maintain core documentation including Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), retention schedules, and internal data governance logs.
- Review and contribute to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and data processing/sharing agreements.
- Provide day-to-day advice to staff on GDPR requirements, policies, and good information governance practice.
Do you have the following to apply? โ
- Previous experience in a data protection focused role, ideally within financial services or another regulated sector.
- Understanding of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and information governance principles.
