We’re working with a highly regarded wealth management business that is looking to appoint a Financial Planning Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Financial Planner to take on a key leadership position while remaining actively involved with clients. The role offers a genuine blend of people management and financial planning, with approximately half your time dedicated to leading and developing a team of Financial Planners and the remainder focused on managing relationships with a select portfolio of High-Net-Worth clients.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Financial Planners
  • Conducting regular 1-2-1s and structured development meetings
  • Supporting less experienced advisers as they progress within the business
  • Helping advisers improve productivity, capacity and overall performance
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of financial advice and client outcomes
  • Overseeing adviser development through appropriate Training & Competence frameworks
  • Identifying opportunities to improve advice processes, efficiency and consistency
  • Using management information to understand performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Compliance, Operations, HR, Growth and Proposition
  • Helping the business plan for future adviser recruitment, development and succession
  • Managing your own portfolio of established HNW clients
  • Providing holistic financial planning across areas including investments, pensions and protection

Do you have the following to apply?

  • Chartered Financial Planner status
  • At least 5 years' experience as an Independent Financial Adviser
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning
  • Experience working with HNW clients and more complex planning requirements
  • Previous experience of managing, coaching or mentoring Financial Planners
