SUMMARY OF POSITION
Our Shoot Captains are the soul of our competitive socialising experience. You will bring the Clays experience to life for our guests, running a section of our gaming pegs and controlling the guests\’ entire journey for multiple groups throughout the operation. Prior hosting and serving experience is highly valued.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Introduce the game, set guests up on the system and get them started.
- Show guests how to use our Food & Beverage kiosks and assist with placing orders.
- Ensure guests experience the 12 steps of service, covering every stage of their experience.
- Manage bookings, coordinate with bar and kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to all tables in your section.
- Deliver the full 12 steps of the game and Food & Beverage service while running a section of gaming pegs.
- Support the events team with group reservations and help run corporate events.
- Handle face‑to‑face customer enquiries, as well as telephone and email queries in a polite, professional manner.
- Flex your skills across multiple front‑of‑house roles as required.
- Develop rapport with guests throughout their experience, ensuring they leave with a smile and are eager for their next visit.
- Contribute to enhancing the guest experience by giving hints, tips, and recommendations, driving competitive spirit and engagement.
SKILLS, DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- Host or hospitality reception / bookings management experience preferred.
- Previous food and beverage service experience in a restaurant or bar.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating amazing experiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Honest with strong moral principles, take initiative, solve problems calmly and work well under pressure.
- Enjoy interacting with people and engaging with food and beverage.
WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN
- Competitive base salary of £12.50 per hour plus weekly Tronc service charge distribution.
- Holiday: 32 working days’ holiday pro rata each year (up to 36 days with length of service).
