SUMMARY OF POSITION
Clays floor teams are collaborative, consisting of a group of highly skilled individuals who are heavily cross‑trained. As a Shoot Captain you will be the soul of our competitive socialising experience, bringing the Clays experience to life for guests.
You will run a section of our gaming pegs and control the guests’ entire journey for multiple groups throughout the operation. Previous hosting and serving experience will help you in this role. You will introduce the game, set guests up on the system, and guide them through our 12‑step service, including food & beverage kiosk use and orders.
You will manage our booking system and coordinate with the bar and kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to all tables in your section. As a critical front‑of‑house team member, you will enhance guest experience, give hints and recommendations, and build rapport so guests leave with a smile and return again.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Highly competent with our booking system
- On occasion run the reception and bookings for the service
- Support the events team with group reservations
- Play a crucial role in the smooth success of our corporate events
- Handle face‑to‑face customer enquiries as well as telephone and email queries in a polite, professional manner.
- Deliver the full 12 steps of the game and food & beverage service when running a section of gaming pegs
- Serve food and beverages in a professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer service
- Able to flex your skills across our multiple front‑of‑house roles
SKILLS, DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- Host or hospitality reception / bookings management preferred but not essential
- Previous food and beverage service experience, restaurant or bar
