We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
This role requires an understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
- Manage materials handling processes, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of items.
- Adhere to all health & safety guidelines.
- Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and processing shipments.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly documented.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, handling materials safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential, with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Forklift truck license preferred but not essential (training provided)
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with load handling techniques is highly desirable.
