About the role

Claydon High School is seeking an enthusiastic and organised librarian to lead and develop our library as a vibrant reading and learning hub at the heart of the school. This role offers the chance to inspire a love of reading, provide crucial support for student learning and work closely with staff to enhance the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

  • Support students to ‘be the best they can be’ by making the library an engaging and resourceful environment.
  • Provide support for the curriculum through the provision of appropriate resources and activities.
  • Ensure the library runs efficiently and remains a welcoming space for students and staff.

Working arrangements

Starting salary: £13,802 per annum (actual). Hours of work: 21.75 hours per week / 38 weeks per year. Working pattern: Days to be confirmed with the successful applicant, hours 08:00am – 15:50pm.

Expectations

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to provide references, undergo employment checks and an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.
