Reading and Writing Teacher (Cosmo 1:1)
Cosmo is seeking an experienced educator to teach ESL students online in the APAC region using the Cosmo curriculum. The role involves delivering 50‑minute one‑on‑one lessons on a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction to students
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
- Deliver 50‑minute sessions on a set weekly schedule
- Update your availability in the Cosmo app in a timely manner
- Submit class feedback after each lesson
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
- Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
- Communicate with Cosmo staff regarding scheduling and student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA
- Experience with K‑12 ELA standards
- Teaching qualification preferred but not required
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available between 9 AM‑2 PM BST Monday‑Friday or during weekends
- Minimum 20 hours of availability per week
- Access to a private, quiet location for classes
- Currently located in the United Kingdom
- Passion for helping students learn and ability to build rapport in an online environment
- Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable teaching style
Pay & Availability
Pay rate: $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.
