SEN TA required β student with complex needs
Classroom Teachers Ltd are looking for an experienced SEN TA to assist a student for 15 hours a week (over 3 days) at an educational setting based in Stockwell.
Student: The student is an adult and has very complex needs which will be discussed with the candidate in detail. The student has been diagnosed with language disorder associated with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), with severe social communication difficulties. Academically the student is below age related levels, the learning days are spent focussing more on behaviour and teaching self-regulating/ calming strategies. The student needs constant supervision to ensure her safety and the safety of others.
The position is to start ASAP and will be on a temporary, ongoing basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Starting ASAP β Long-term temporary contract until the end of term
Working with an experienced support worker to help the student progress
Providing a stimulating & enjoyable learning environment
Rate of pay β 27.00ph
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Previous SEN experience or advanced understanding of different needs including ASD
You must be passionate, enthusiastic and caring towards others
Able to communicate well with staff members
An in date enhanced DBS or one registered on the online update service in essential.
