SEN Home Tutor for students based in Lambeth Classroom Teachers Ltd are looking to recruit qualified teachers to tutor SEN/EBD students that are based in the South East London area of Lambeth. The position runs term time only, and we have continuous referrals all year round which we aim to fill as quick as possible. The hours of work are generally set each week (tutor and parent are able to liaise to find the best fit) and depending on the student the timings can be between 2-3hrs each day. You are also able to take on two students per day (15 hours per week each), making the hours full time. Each student and case is different, so if you was to have any questions, please feel free to speak to a consultant. JOB DESCRIPTION: * SEN 1:1 Tutor – Library or home based (South London) * Up to £37.61ph * Long-term contract, temporary position * Teaching Secondary students with SEN or students currently not attending school, on a 1:1 basis at home or in a library * Providing a stimulating & enjoyable learning environment * Providing 1:1 sessions teaching English, Maths and Science if applicable. * Half termly reports on progress PERSON SPECIFICATION: * Qualified Teacher * Previous SEN experience or advanced understanding of SEN, especially ASD * You must be passionate, enthusiastic and caring towards children * Able to engage students in their own homes or libraries * Able to communicate with parents/guardians * Able to inspire young adults * DBS on the update service or willing to get a new one Why Classroom Teachers?
