Classroom Teachers Ltd are currently looking for a tutor to work face to face with a year 11 student with ASD. The successful teacher will need to implement the TEACCH approach The tutoring will cover core subjects, over 15hours a week, Monday – Friday. JOB DESCRIPTION: * Implement autism-informed supports to develop communication skills (including cognitive flexibility) * Use visual supports to clarify abstract concepts and social communication rules. * Up to £39.67ph * Starting ASAP – Long-term contracts * Teaching a year 11 student with ASD on 1:1 basis at home. Parent/Guardian are always present * Providing a stimulating & enjoyable learning environment * Providing 1:1 sessions teaching core subjects. * Half termly – report writing PERSON SPECIFICATION: * Understanding of TEACCH and autism specific approaches. * Qualified Teacher * Previous SEN experience or advanced understanding of SEN * You must be passionate, enthusiastic and caring towards children * Able to engage students in their own homes * Able to communicate with parents/guardians * Able to inspiring young adults * Able to travel to SW2 daily * Hold an in date DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one If you are a qualified teacher and are able to travel to SW2 please apply today or contact Kirsty today for more information.
