Experienced School Caretakers required Classroom Teachers are currently looking for experienced school caretakers to join their books. We are looking for candidates that have already worked within an educational environment as a caretaker of facilities manager. Roles can be full or part time and split shifts are common. So flexibility is a big part of this role. Hours can start from as early as 6/6:30am and as late as 6pm (Later if an event is on) As a School Caretaker you will be a key holder with possible open/closing responsibilities. You will have experience in maintenance, repairs and DIY experience. Tasks will include; * General school maintenance for the building and grounds. * Repairing faults across the school and playgrounds. * Conducting fire safety , security and H&S checks for the site. * Event set up and take down. * Support and assist colleagues to conduct specific/ad hoc caretaking tasks when required * Ensuring the school and grounds are clean and tidy * Dealing with both external and internal contractors * Grounds work You will need to be able to communicate effectively with the SLT & pupils to ensure projects run smoothly.
