An opportunity has arisen for an individual who is passionate about education and childcare to join a primary school within the London Borough of Havering. We are looking to recruit an eager, professional, and motivated individual to work on a 1:1 basis with an SEN pupil.
This position is a full time, term time only position. It is a temporary position that has the ability to go permanent for the right candidate.
You will:
- Be given the opportunity to work with children aged 0-11 years old on a 1:1 basis. Students have a range of SEN needs.
- Help provide personal progression and academic support by following the relevant safeguarding or EHCP plans.
- Need to be a team player willing to collaborate with colleagues to continue to meet the standards required for these children to progress.
- Be willing to do personal care.
- Need to be flexible and willing to work in challenging environments.
Candidate requirements:
- Successful candidates MUST have experience working with SEN students especially SLD, PMLD, AUT, ASD.
- If you have experience using Makaton, PECS, or are Team Teach trained, please do not hesitate to apply.
- Have a confident and positive attitude as well as strong interpersonal skills and will be proactive and use initiative.
- Hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to process a new one through Classroom Teachers.
