Classroom Teachers Ltd is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join a primary school in Enfield on a temporary basis until the end of August. This is a key leadership role, providing vital operational and strategic support during an important period for the school.
Contract: Temporary (until end of August)
Working pattern: 4 days per week
Start: Immediate or short notice preferred
Pay: £25-£28 per hour negotiable depending on experience (PAYE or umbrella options available)
Location: Enfield, London
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee school finance, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Manage HR processes, payroll coordination, and staff administration
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding standards
- Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with strategic planning
- Oversee premises, contracts, and facilities management
- Manage administrative and support staff where required
Person Specification:
- Strong financial background with proven school budgeting/finance experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems
- Experience working collaboratively within a school environment
- Passion for education and supporting children's wellbeing
- Previous experience in a primary, secondary, or academy setting (desirable)
Requirements:
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or willingness to apply for one. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
