Family Inclusion Officer (SEND)
Location: Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £22,882 – £26,814 per annum (Actual Salary)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent – Employed directly by the school
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
Working Pattern: Term Time Only – 38 Weeks per Year

Classroom Talent is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, seeking to appoint a Family Inclusion Officer (SEND) on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established SEND and Inclusion department, supporting students with additional needs and strengthening relationships between the school and families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Family Inclusion Officer (SEND)
- Act as a key point of contact for parents and carers of students with SEND.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and external professionals.
- Work closely with SEND, pastoral and safeguarding teams.
- Support SEND documentation, annual reviews and student records.
- Help identify and address barriers to learning.
- Provide practical guidance and support to families.
PERSON SPECIFICATION - Family Inclusion Officer (SEND)
- Experience supporting children, young people or families.
- An understanding of SEND or a willingness to develop knowledge.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A compassionate, patient and professional approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
Previous experience within a school SEND department is desirable but not essential.
