Classroom support are excited to be working with a large mainstream Primary School in the Maidstone area.

We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a temporary long-term position starting in Jan/Feb 2026.

There is a highly competitive rate of pay which is Β£90+ per day depending on experience, for working hours of 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Working days are Monday-Friday term time only.

Requirements of the role are,

– Supporting a pupil with ASD (Autism), who needs a lot of 1:1 support both in and out of class

– Using your experience of effective behaviour management. Resilience, patience and calmness are what the school are looking for.

– Understanding of Autism and experience working with adults or children with similar support needs.

– Advantageous of holding a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.

– Additionally, fulfilling any required duties defined by the class teacher.

– Be willing to provide lunch cover on occasions.

– Any experience with SEN, through work or personal experience is advantageous.
