An outstanding SEND School in Lewisham is looking for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. About the Role: In this specialist SEMH setting, you’ll work with students aged between 7 and 16 who face a range of social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will be to support their learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation—helping them re-engage with education in a safe and structured environment. You Will: * Provide 1:1 and small group support, both in and out of class * Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils * Help implement behaviour support plans and therapeutic strategies * Assist with daily routines and transitions to promote consistency and security * Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams * Encourage emotional resilience, self-esteem, and positive social skills What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking compassionate and proactive individuals who can remain calm under pressure and are committed to helping students succeed—both academically and emotionally.
