Overview We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor with expertise in supporting individuals with autism. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for learners with diverse needs. Responsibilities * Develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with autism, tailored to their specific needs and learning styles * Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development * Collaborate with teaching staff and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student support * Create and facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and families to enhance understanding and support for students with autism * Track student progress and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders Qualifications * Proven experience working with individuals with autism in an educational setting * Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and best practices for supporting individuals with diverse learning needs * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and their families * Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of students * Relevant certifications and/or training in special education or autism support services Day-to-Day * Work directly with students to support their learning and social/emotional development * Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments * Track student progress and adapt support strategies as needed * Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student development * Lead workshops and training sessions for educators and families on autism awareness and support strategies
