Learning Support Assistant Enfield Classroom Support are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of our students. Key Responsibilities: * Provide individualised support to students with PMLD, ASD, and ADHD. * Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring each student's unique needs are met. * Adapt and develop curriculum materials to enhance accessibility and engagement for students with varying learning profiles. * Assist in the development of students' communication, social, and life skills through targeted interventions and support. * Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes a sense of belonging and self-confidence among all students. Qualifications and Experience: * Previous experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable. * Understanding of diverse learning styles and effective strategies to support students with complex needs. * Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive attitude in challenging situations. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. * Relevant certifications or a willingness to undertake training in special education and support methodologies. Day-to-Day Duties: * Assist students with SEN in daily academic activities and personal development tasks. * Implement evidence-based strategies and activities to support students' educational and personal growth. * Maintain regular communication with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure cohesive and effective support plans. * Create and maintain a nurturing environment where all students feel valued, respected, and included.
