We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 teaching assistant to join our partner school in the Burton area. About the Role:

  • You will be working closely with a child who has special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and develop essential life skills.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Building a strong, trusting relationship with your assigned student to create a stable and supportive learning environment.
    • Delivering personalised 1:1 support while also facilitating small group work sessions when required.
    • Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans to reflect the child's progress and changing needs.
    • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement effective support strategies.

Location: Burton upon Trent area

Start Date: ASAP - September Starts Available

Contract: Term-time only - Permanent - Part-time or full-time

Salary Range: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Qualifications: Ideally, a teaching assistant qualification or child care or health and social care - open to a range of qualifications.
