We’re looking for patient, resilient, and caring people to join us as 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants. Working across schools in the Amber Valley area and the surrounding area, you’ll play a key role in making sure every child can access learning, feel safe, and build the confidence to succeed.

  • Location: Amber Valley area
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: 8:15 am – 16:15 pm
  • Rate: ÂŁ13.69 per hour
  • Pattern: Day-to-day placements, with pathways into part-time, full-time, and long-term roles

You’ll work 1:1 with children who have a range of needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, sensory differences, or social and emotional challenges. Each day is different, but you might:

  • Provide focused classroom support tailored to each child
  • Help with routines and transitions, building confidence and independence
  • Encourage positive relationships with peers and staff
  • Adapt learning tasks to match each child’s pace
  • Support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-esteem
