Ever wanted to teach in a small, welcoming school where you actually get time to enjoy teaching? Here’s your chance. We’re looking for a Primary Teacher to take on a mixed Year 3/4 class in a small village school with an outstanding reputation. This is a maternity cover role, meaning long-term stability for the right candidate. No short-term uncertainty. No jumping from school to school. Just a great role in a great school where you’ll be fully supported. You’ll job share with an experienced and highly skilled teacher, working on a rotating 3-day pattern. One week, you’ll teach Monday to Wednesday. The next, it’ll be Thursday to Friday. Simple. Oh, and planning? Minimal. Most of it will already be done between you and your job-share partner. Job Title: Part-Time Lower KS2 Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: Small Village School, Derbyshire Salary: £160 – £190 per day Contract: Maternity Cover, Long-Term Start Date: ASAP Working Pattern: 2 days one week, 3 days the next (Job Share) What you’ll be doing: * Teaching a class of 25 children in a lower KS2 mixed Year 3/4 class. * Working alongside a very experienced job-share teacher to ensure consistency for the pupils. * Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that keep children focused, learning, and excited to come to school. * Taking on full class teacher responsibilities for your days in the classroom. * Working with an experienced HLTA who will provide in-class support. * Helping to maintain the high standards that this school is known for. What we need from you: * QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) * Proven experience in KS2 (Ideally Year 3/4, but strong KS2 experience is essential). * The ability to create a fun, engaging classroom where every child feels welcome and included. * A strong understanding of the curriculum and how to deliver lessons that challenge, inspire, and support all learners. * Someone who is confident taking on the responsibilities of a class teacher, even if only for part of the week. * A collaborative approach – you’ll be working closely with your job-share partner to keep things seamless. Why this role is great: * No last-minute supply uncertainty – this is a long-term role with guaranteed work. * A small, friendly school with a fantastic reputation in the local community. * A supportive, long-standing Headteacher who values her staff and creates a positive environment. * A well-behaved class of 25 children who are eager to learn. * Minimal planning – your job-share partner takes care of most of it. * A welcoming team who will make sure you feel part of the school from day one. * Full support from parents – this is a school where families are actively engaged in their children’s education. About the School: * Rated Outstanding by Ofsted * A small, single-form entry school with a strong community feel. * High academic standards and a strong focus on pupil wellbeing. * A Headteacher who genuinely cares about the happiness and success of her staff. The Interview Process: * Complete a simple application & vetting form (we’ll help you through it). * Meet the Headteacher at the school for a short 45-minute interview. * Full vetting and background checks will be completed before you start. That’s it. No endless hoops to jump through. Just a chance to get started in an amazing school as soon as possible
