The Role You’ll Play
As the Team Lead, Localization, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring Mindbody and ClassPass resonate authentically with diverse communities around the globe. You’ll lead a team dedicated to bringing our products, web experiences, and communications to life in multiple languages, ensuring they connect deeply with users everywhere.
- Own the end-to-end quality assurance process, ensuring localized content consistently meets high standards.
- Develop and coach your team, empowering them to thrive, innovate, and deliver impactful translations.
- Collaborate proactively with product, marketing, and engineering teams to identify localization opportunities and shape strategy.
- Spearhead large-scale localization initiatives, from product launches to dynamic web updates, delivering seamless user experiences.
- Drive optimization through continuous user research and testing, improving localized content effectiveness.
- Lead vendor relationships, onboarding new translation partners, and refining workflows to accelerate market expansion.
- Stay ahead of localization trends, integrating cutting-edge technology and AI tools into everyday workflows.
- Implement cost-effective strategies that maximize the impact of localization investments, fueling global growth.
Experience You Bring
- 5+ years guiding localization strategies, ideally within technology or digital-first environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Smartling or other leading Translation Management Systems.
- A proven record navigating diverse stakeholder needs, balancing priorities, and delivering successful outcomes.
- Solid experience collaborating with web and app development teams to align localization efforts seamlessly.
- Demonstrated success in independently leading complex localization projects, from planning through execution.
- Skilled in developing linguistic assets, including Translation Memories, style guides, and glossaries.
- Expertise optimizing translation workflows through Machine Translation (MT) and other AI-driven localization solutions.
- Familiarity with Contentful, HubSpot, or another Content Management System (CMS).
- Fluent proficiency in English and at least one other language.
