Lakeside Hotel & Spa on the Southern shores of Windermere (1 mile from Newby Bridge) is owned by Classic Lodges. We have 83 luxury bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, brasserie, pool, spa and conference suite ‘overlooking nothing but the lake’. We have a friendly team and are always looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to come on board. Lakeside Hotel are currently recruiting for the position of Chef de Partie.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Have good organisational skills and comfortable working in a high-level pressured environment.
  • Follow and manage all HACCP procedures with the kitchen management team.
  • All orders are checked and accounted for freshness and quality.
  • Ensure the training and standards are always kept.
  • Ensure the staffing levels are kept to the correct business levels.
  • Run an organised efficient clean section.
  • Ensure the highest levels of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, presentation standards.
  • Uphold the team SOPs given to you.
  • Help in the development of our kitchen garden and growing cycles.
  • Support other team members across the kitchen.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Committed and hungry to progress and grow your skills.
  • Having a rosette background will be advantageous.

You will be an enthusiastic individual, passionate about your craftsmanship of producing excellent food, with at least a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Attention to detail is a must, with the ability to work in a calm and professional manner whilst running your own kitchen section. You will be flexible in your approach with a willingness to learn new techniques and the ability to work on your own as well as being a true team player.
