We are seeking an experienced and guest-focused Bar Manager to lead our bar and beverage operations. This is a guest-facing role responsible for delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards.
The Role: As Bar Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the hotel bar and lounge, ensuring exceptional service, product quality and compliance with licensing regulations. You will manage the bar, cellar, orders, control stock and work closely with the Food & Beverage and events teams to deliver seamless guest experiences across the property. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be expected to lead by example, coach colleagues, contribute to the drinks menu development and support commercial targets for the outlet.
About You:
- Previous management experience in a bar, restaurant or hotel hospitality environment
- A professional, friendly and confident approach when interacting with guests and colleagues
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages (further training provided)
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills
- Experience of stock control, ordering and cost management
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- A flexible, reliable and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality beverages, including creation and maintenance of cocktail and drinks menus
- Maintain excellent levels of guest service, handling enquiries and complaints professionally
- Oversee stock control, ordering, deliveries and wastage procedures to meet budgetary targets
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the bar and back-of-house areas
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and company policies, including responsible service of alcohol
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage and events teams to support functions, private dining and promotional activity
- Monitor sales performance and contribute to commercial initiatives to maximise revenue
