A great opportunity to join our friendly team at the Farington Lodge Hotel as our new Wedding and Events Co-ordinator. We are seeking a proactive, organised and enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering exceptional standards of customer care in the planning and co-ordination leading up to their event.
Wedding & Events Coordinator Responsibilities- You will be the main enquiry handler, responding to enquiries for weddings, meetings and events.
- Serve as the main contact for guests organising weddings, conferences, private parties, Christmas lunches and dinners and special occasions, delivering outstanding support from initial enquiry up to final details and payment.
- You will be required to respond to enquiries on the telephone, by email and in person, showing the hotel facilities to guests and confirming details in planning meetings.
- You will be required to be pro-active in contacting people to identify and discuss the clients' plans and requirements.
- Coordinate all aspects of weddings and events, prior to the event, working closely with clients to understand their needs, providing effective communication with the team to ensure seamless delivery.
- Liaise with all hotel departments to communicate event requirements and ensure staff are briefed and prepared for each event.
- Conduct show-rounds of wedding and event facilities, providing expert advice and information to prospective clients.
- Develop detailed event function sheets and itineraries for the hotel team, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Assist with sales and marketing activities to promote the hotel’s wedding and events offering, including attending wedding fairs and open days as required.
- Manage event bookings, contracts, billing and guest communications in accordance with company procedures.
- Promote the hotel positively on social media.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise.
- Exceptional communication skills, with confidence in building rapport with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional standards of guest service.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve challenges effectively for guests and team members.
- Team-focused with a desire to support others and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive workplace.
- IT literate with experience in event management or reservation systems an advantage.
