We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Grinkle Park on a part‑time basis (16–24 hours per week). In this role you will help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation our guests expect, working as part of a supportive housekeeping team.

Duties

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms to the company standard, including beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and replenishing supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of corridors, lounges and other public areas.
  • Handle and sort laundry items and assist with basic laundry duties where required.
  • Report maintenance issues, lost property and health & safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure consistent standards are met.
  • Follow safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; comply with health & safety and COSHH procedures.
  • Provide friendly and courteous service when interacting with guests and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support the team during busy periods and assist with deep‑clean or turnover tasks as required.

About You

  • You will be welcoming, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • You should be physically fit as the role involves standing, bending and lifting, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends.
  • A good level of English is required to follow instructions and communicate with colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work efficiently and pay attention to detail.
  • Good time management and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Awareness of health & safety and manual handling practices.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to provide appropriate documentation.
