Your New Role
Job Purpose: The Quality Officer will be a vital part of the Quality Team, ensuring our products and procedures meet all the necessary requirements before they reach our customers. This role will require day to day liaison with internal and external contacts including suppliers, customers, hauliers, the sales, customer service teams and the warehouse team.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Work with the senior management team and external consultant to ensure BRC Certification is maintained.
- Oversee the control and maintenance of the correct temperature controls within the warehouse.
- Develop and monitor HACCP and VACCP programs.
- Identify and implement quality related training needs for the wider business.
- Devise new quality procedures and controls for company projects and new product categories.
- Request the latest product specifications and maintain a database of over 8000 product lines.
- Handle customer complaints and investigate non-conformance.
- Collate and manage the data required to comply with Producer Responsibility Packaging Waste Obligations.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
- Maintain allergens database.
- Conduct internal product checks.
- Complete and follow up on requests for information from customers, suppliers and the business.
- Maintain quality audit related tasks.
- Other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.
