Your New Role

Job Purpose: As the company’s Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a section of the company’s debtors assigned to you, ensuring accounts are kept within agreed payment terms and overdue debt is minimized or eliminated. You will also ensure that bad debts are avoided by implementing good credit control procedures and by following company guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintaining and reconciling sales ledger
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers to appropriately manage overdue account payments.
  • Debt collection by phone/email/letter.
  • Receiving and resolving customer queries efficiently, enabling timely invoice processing and payment.
  • Send out copy of invoices, credit notes and statements as requested.
  • Complete credit review forms as required.
  • Posting and allocating incoming payments on a daily basis on SAP.
  • Set up new customer accounts on SAP when required.
  • Sending final demands as needed and liaising with solicitors to recover unpaid amounts and applying for CCJs.
  • Ad hoc office duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Experience in credit control
  • Organised and excellent eye for detail
  • Proven ability to manage a large sales ledger
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Able to build strong relationships, both externally and internally
  • Strong IT skills with experience using excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables) and SAP
