You will diagnose and repair laptops and assist in other areas of the operations department as needed.
Key Tasks- Diagnose incoming laptops for defects and damage, and log appropriately.
- Install Windows operating systems.
- Maintain equipment, perform specialist repairs/modifications/upgrades, and software/hardware enhancements within your capabilities.
- Diagnose hardware problems versus accidental damage.
- Provide neat repairs, including cleaning devices and ensuring proper sealing. Training will be provided.
- Check work appropriately and update tickets with diagnostic results, allocating ESD locations for repairs as part of quality assurance.
- Provide basic technical support to end users on 1st Line if needed.
- Update tickets with relevant Easy4u status in line with repair diagnosis.
- Deal effectively with individuals and resolve issues promptly.
- Communicate well in written English.
- Use the Easy4u Service Platform and Helpdesk System to record items and keep customers informed of repair progress.
- Strive for quality over quantity.
- Experience in the IT field is desirable.
- Demonstrate competence in repairing and building hardware.
- Maintain a can-do attitude to provide excellent service.
- Be a self-starter and suggest ways to enhance our service.
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines, especially for upcoming summer productions.
