Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs? At Class People, we’re proud to work with schools across Gloucester, and we’re currently seeking experienced SEN TAs to join our growing team.

About the Role:

As an SEN TA working with Class People, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a variety of welcoming primary and secondary school settings, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD.

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality support on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Help students access the curriculum and reach their full potential
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support in a nurturing environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 3 months' experience supporting children with SEN in schools
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to learning support
  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS training
  • Access to transport for work across different school locations
