Class Mate is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in the NG19 area to recruit a part-time KS1 Teacher, starting as soon as possible. This role would suit a passionate and committed teacher who enjoys working in Key Stage 1 and is confident delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that support early learning and development.
The role:
- Teaching a KS1 class (Year 1 or Year 2) on a part-time basis
- Planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment
- Using assessment to support pupil progress and differentiation
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Have experience teaching in KS1
- Be confident in delivering phonics and early reading
- Have strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
