Class Mate is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the NG18 area to recruit a part-time EYFS Teaching Assistant, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurturing and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey.
The role:
- Supporting children within Early Years (Nursery/Reception)
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to promote early learning and development
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning
- Supporting children's emotional development, routines, and behaviour
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
- Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working within EYFS (school or nursery setting)
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic
- Have a good understanding of child development and early learning
- Be confident supporting learning through play and structured activities
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable, not essential)
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
