Class Mate is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Normanton to recruit a confident and adaptable KS1 PPA Cover Teacher to start as soon as possible. This role will involve delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2, covering PPA time throughout the week. The school is looking for someone who is flexible, organised and confident in maintaining strong classroom routines across different year groups.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across EYFS and KS1
  • Follow planning provided and ensure continuity of learning
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND pupils
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and positive classroom environments
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Has recent experience teaching in EYFS and/or KS1
  • Confident delivering phonics (Read Write Inc or similar desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
  • Flexible, reliable and happy working across multiple year groups
