Class Mate is recruiting a full-time 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Early Years at a welcoming and supportive primary school in NG17, starting immediately.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil within an EYFS setting
- Support early development through play-based and structured learning activities
- Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of the child
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
- Support the child’s communication, social and emotional development
- Help create a nurturing, safe and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working within EYFS or early years settings
- Understanding of supporting children with additional needs (e.g. ASD, speech & language)
- Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships
- Confident supporting early development and behaviour
- Passionate about making a difference in early childhood education
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a UK school or nursery setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to provide two professional references
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or Early Years) desirable but not essential
