Salary: H4 Scale 26,215 - 27,632 FTE Actual Salary: 19,393 - 20,441 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 32 hours per week, term time

We are seeking a talented, energetic and motivated PE Coach/Teaching Assistant to join a forward thinking secondary day special school supporting boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, and we are particularly interested in the person as much as their experience or technical skill.

The Role

  • Support the delivery of PE and physically active learning
  • Engage and motivate pupils through positive behaviour management and strong relationships
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, emotional wellbeing and self regulation
  • Provide both classroom and wider school support
  • Contribute to a well established Work Related Learning and Vocational Curriculum
  • Act as a consistent, positive role model for pupils with emotional and behavioural needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH, emotional or behavioural difficulties
  • Be confident supporting practical, physical and outdoor learning
